This is a series of Seven digital artworks inspired by a progressive death metal concept album called 'Still Life' by Swedish band Opeth. I was blown away when I first heard this album and wanted to create a series of art loosely based on the tale. I used a mixture of photography, illustration, painting and scanning and then with the composition and finishing done in Photoshop. 

Basically the album tells a story of a mans return from exile for being an atheist. He’s returned in secret to find his lover, Melinda in an attempt to take her away from the church controlled village. He hides out and meets with her in secret but he is uncovered and it ends in tragedy for both of them.
